On my way to the course I stop by the local chain sporting good store to buy the new Titleist driver as luck would have it, they were sold out. I was then introduced to the TaylorMade R7 by the sales men, who raved of the club. I agreed to purchase the club and rushed out the door as my tee time was approching. I get to the course just in time to get to the 1st Tee no warm up, no Range balls. I pull out my brand new driver and PULL it so far left it’s out of bounds, 2nd hole yep you guess it, same resluts, at this point I’m ready to run back to my car and pull out my old stand by but thought that I would try it one more hole..SMACK 280 dead stright, next hole SMACK dead stright about 290 I hit every drive over 285 yards some closer to 310 without sparying from one side of the fairway to the other. I LOVE THIS CLUB! I was able to add 30 to 35 yards to my tee shots with the assistance of the R7. I can’t wait to hit it again!

Best driver I’ve ever hit period. This thing is a godsend, I used to slice 95% of my balls and with this thing I slice 5%. I am driving short par 4s with ease and just watch my friends look on in awe as I smoke another one 275 right down mainstreet. It is expensive, but look around and you’ll fine a good deal on one and trust me it’s worth it.

The first time I used this club I swung easy and it went long and straight. The cartridges are a very good idea, for my particular swing, I have set them so the ball flight is a little lower (heavier cartridges at the front). Given this configuration, I am able to hit the ball both high and low easily, simply by teeing the ball up or down respectively. Very nice club and would recommend it to anyone looking to replace their current Driver.

I purchased these irons in April of this year and could not have picked a better iron. These are a very easy irons to hit, setup nicely and are forgiving on off center hits. These irons are about one club longer than my previous irons (Titleist 804s) and I would highly recommend these for any mid to high handicap player.

Where to start..? I purchased this club mid-way through the 2005 season, and I am very glad that I did. I went to Carl’s Golfland in Michigan and tried the R7, the Cleveland Launcher, Callaway 454, ERC Fusion, the big ugly driver from Ping and the R5 Dual. Let me just tell you that the R7, with a stiff Fujikira Speeder 757 shaft, out performed anything else on the market. I can’t understand how anyone could say it’s a sub par product. But lets be realistic, if your swing is ugly, the result will probably match it. This is not a miraicle club, but if you put a nice swing on it…it goes! It dose not matter how long I hit it because how far I hit it does not apply to you. I will say that I have never hit a driver farther than this one. All in all, its a well made, and quality made piece of equipment. Don’t be turned off by negative rewiews…some people mistake a product that does not suit them for a product that is inferior.

I’m now 2 years into this purchase, have tried the latest drivers including Cleveland Hi-Bore and Callaway Fusion FT3, and I can honestly say I AM NOT CHANGING. As an equipment junkie, no driver has kept my attention this long. Fundamentally, the R7 Quad concept of movable weight technology is sound. Taylor Made quality is excellent.
In fairness, I have been through 3 shafts on this driver…the last one fitted in an “appointment only” shop using a launch monitor and an excellent professional club fitter. Next time you are not satisfied with your current driver, look at your swing first, your shaft second, and then the clubhead. By all means, use a launch monitor in your fitting with a skilled professional by your side. It pays!
Golf marketing is a wonderful thing. Mickelson wins the Masters with 2 drivers and now some companies are promoting carrying 2 drivers. Chances are you are not Phil Mickelson. If I’m a club manufacturer, I’m doubling my sales targets this year on my most expensive and most profitable club because the sheep will follow.

Snapped this second hand R7 9.5, regualr flex from a golfing buddy who did not like the perfromance of this club.
I grabbed it for a song and IT DID INCREASED my driving distance by 30 yds outdriving my golf mentor using a stiff shaft 460 9 degree in three rounds.
The pull is exaggerated if the swing is uncontrolled. I say the performance is what it says and I love it.

Taylor Made has a winner with the R7. This is one of the most accurate drivers I have ever hit. I don’t hit it as far as alot of the drivers on the market, but the hit fairways make up for it. A great feeling club. Wonderful look at address. Taylor Made has hit a homerun. Thanks.

The R7 is the best driver I have ever hit, bar none. I have read several of the reviews posted here, and don’t understand what is not to like about this club. True, to each his own, but someone who is willing to pay for this club should already have a game good enough to support it. I agree that it may not be a club for high handicappers, but you also don’t need to be a pro to have great results with it.
I also think you cannot buy this club to fix a problem with your swing. If you hit a fade, you can’t set it up for a draw and be magically fixed. The idea I like to use when setting the club up is to match the weighting system to your natural ball flight and work from there.
All in all, if you are proficient with your current driver, the R7 may help your game, but always demo, demo, demo before you buy to make sure the club is for you.
Finally, I can honestly say I have gained 10-20 yards on my average drive with this club. Reasons? Could be the increased confidence off the tee this club gives me, as I feel it is extremely forgiving, but the club itself has helped….

I can only start this review in one way, and thats how this driver has effected my game since i bought it. Over the last week i have been to the range every day. I love hitting this driver so much because if the combined accuracy and distance. The feeling and sound that it produces when you hit it out the middle is second to none. I go out of my way to get down to the range and hit it, pure and simple. the driver is the most accurate driver i have hit and is without a doubt the best club i have ever bought. I have been hitting alot of the newer drivers released this summer and i really wouldnt waste my money on them because i promise this driver delivers everything and more.

I picked up the R7 Quad this past morning and played this afternoon. I have been playing very well except my driver. Well that problem is over. i have the 10.5 stiff fles. Four drives today 340+ # 9 368 of the whites. Hit this thing dead straight in the middle of the geen. 25MPH tail wind but none the less I can smoke this puppy. Best fit for my game I have ever found. I average 300-320 off the tee. Now if I could chip…….. Really a great stick if you struggle of the tee this is the club.

The Taylor Made R7 driver is awesome, thats all that needs to be said. Its comfortable and forgiving and I can out drive my companions now. This is the best club I have brought in a long time.

I recently started hitting this driver and I couldn’t be more happy. I left the weights in the same position they came in from the factory and hit the ball very high, but it carried a mile. Previously I have been playing a Nike Forged Titanium 350 and was very happy with it. But this r7 gave me 15 to 20 yards more than I was getting with the Nike. I adjusted the weights for a lower trajectory and now I’m in love. When I hit the sweet spot, it goes 290 to 310. When I miss, I still get 275 out of it. I’m pleased all the way around. I tend to hit the sweet spot consistently, so I don’t know how well it would perform for a higher handicap golfer, but for better players this is the best driver out there.
