Its a very nice driver, buit if its not shfted right for your swing speed it will kill your swing. I reccomend checking out shafts before buying the driver.

I purchased this club about 4 months ago. I upgraded from my TM R5. This driver is a dramatic improvement over the R5. I have stopped slicing to hitting it straight or with a slight fade. I was never a long hitter, but I went from hitting the R5 average of 210 to the Burner average of 230 and really pure shots hitting it 250. Never did that before in my life. Distances are accurate as I measured everything with my skycaddie. Because I’m now usually on the fairway, I have lowered my scores by at least 5 strokes. I use a 10.5 regular flex shaft.

Excellent club and I then purchased the 3 wood (15^) and 5 wood(18^). All regular shafts. With the driver I may have picked up 10-20yds but always splitting the fairway. Just have to remember not to over swing as the shaft is fairly light. On windy days t the ball low and the elevation will drop but continue down the fairway. Look at the 3/5 woods also
very happy with these clubs….

I’m a golfer who averaged in the low 80’s but had to give up golf for a while. Last year I started playing against thanks to a hand-me-down set of clubs from my stepfather. I was hitting 220-240 with a huge slice and was very dissapointed with my used driver. I just got the Burner Draw as a birthday present and WOW! I’ve never had a club make such a huge difference in my game. I’m now hitting perfectly straight and averaging over 300 yards. I can see myself shooting in the mid 70’s very soon with this club. I’ve never been so excited about golf.

After my Superquad cracked a couple of weeks ago, TM offered to fix it or replace it with the Tour Burner…That’s an easy decision :) I’ve always heard that the quad was for shot shaping and forgiveness, while the Burner was for straight distance. Well to my surprise ever since I got this Weapon of Mass Distance, i’ve not only been definitely longer, but my accuracy with this thing is probably twice as good as with my Superquad! Couldn’t tell ya why or how, but i’m not gonna question it, this sitck is AWESOME :)

I would describe myself as a typical golf fanatic that has tried alot of different equipment. The bottom line with the Burner is that the added distance comes from the longer shaft. I had to hit alot of balls with different ball positions and different set-ups before I found the best for my swing. If you try to kill the ball, you will have trouble with this club. If you will swing with control and make good contact, the ball seems to fly high but straight. I don’t get alot of extra yardage per drive but on a given swing have added 20 yards or so to the norm. The best feature is consistant drives in the fairway. Most golfers who will take the time to fine-rune their swing, will love this Driver and put the ball in great position for second shots. Now that TaylorMade had dropped the price, you can get these at great prices. Definately worth it!

Club is the best driver I have hit in many years. Playing companions agree that I am driving the ball straighter and much more consistant than I had been. Also the good news is that I have NOT lost any distance while being more consistant. Club appearance and specs result in a better club. Only negative is the grip was tough on the hands - switched to a WINN grip. Club purchased was 10.5 loft with “R” shaft. Currently playing to a 14 handicap.

I am 63 years old with an average game for someone my age. Sometimes in the mid to high 70’s but usually in the low 80’s. My average drives are fades from right to left edge of fairway, or sometimes a light draw. 250-260 yd distance. This is with my R540. First time using this awesome driver I was killing the ball, with the most beautiful draw to the center and 275 or better each time (several were so close to the green it was scarey). My buddies are all 61-65 and usually down the middle 225-250. I think they are ready to step uo to Taylormade.

Very good driver and the price almost makes it excellent. Closed face can take some getting used to if you have played drivers setting up square or slightly open. The club will give you a little bit more distance than most of the new drivers due to the extra length of shaft (46″), but doubt you will see more then 5 or 10 at most. Extra length of shaft can make it more difficult to control, but if you take it to the range, dial it in, and keep your swing and tempo smooth, it can be a real dependable driver. Shape is a bit different but not annoying, and the sound of the driver is very nice, ear plugs will not be necessary. Like most newer drivers it has a pretty high launch, but once you get used to seeing your ball take off to the clouds you will appreciate the carry this high launch will give you. Again if you are moving up from a driver more than two or three years old, don’t be fooled into thinking you need a lower loft than you were using. Ball takes off high but does not balloon, and the reduced spin helps it cut through the air and keep it in the fairway. It would be a 5-star driver only if it could hit all fairways blasting the ball out to the 300 yard marker. Alas I think it will take a 5-star golfer to achieve that goal. To be honest I have not hit a 5-star piece of equipment except for the Bettinardi putter, a true Bettinardi, customized for me by Bettinardi.

recently at a golf camp with my friend, he decided to borrow his steb grandpa’s tour burner… we both tried it out and i easily get 15 more yards off of it than i do my old R510….. i also didn’t slice it anymore which was a big help in lowering my scores

I had the 460cc Burner in a 9.5 Stiff. Loved and hated it at the same time. I hit straight as an arrow looked long and then was disappointed that it only went 240 yards. Considering I was hitting the sweetspot and I measure 98 mph on swing speed I was puzzled. Trajectory was a tad low. With this driver, I get the same trajectory but now it’s 35 yds longer. I’m thinking it might be the shaft. But either way, now I’m just flat HAPPY!

After being away from golf for 8 years i decided to get back to it. Been back playing now for 2 months. My driving has been letting me down badly always fading or badly slicing, got to a stage were the rest of my game was starting to suffer through lack of confidence .After reading the reviews about the burner draw i decided to try it out. Being a naturally sceptical person i didn’t honestly believe all the claims made by the company but boy was i wrong. This club has instantly shaved 11 shots off my score was shooting in the 100s and now in the low 90s.Where you point the club thats where the ball goes and with plenty of height and distance.I am averaging at least 250 yds and all are straight with no effort at all,the easier you swing the club the better it goes.I would highly recomend this club to any mid to high handicappers with a fade or slice problem.

I love this driver. I hit the ball straighter, about 20 yards farther, and best of all my back doesn’t hurt as bad after a game. This is because the club swings itself…it has a very friendly weight distribution and sends the ball soaring. I got the 9.5 with the stiff shaft.

This club is so forgiving. Any shot inside the perimeter of the huge head will slingshot the ball down range. When you pure it in the center upper quadrant the ball feels like a superball bounce off the club face. Averaging fifteen yards further than any other driver I have owned. The one inch longer shaft is really easy to get used to because of the shaft weight.

I joined a club that has a lot of uphill fairways and I realized I needed more air time. My regular driver is a 9.5 R7, so I bought a Taylormade 10.5 burner. I got an extra 20 yards, all in the air.

I had the 2007 Burner, and recently picked up an 08 Tour Burner. Both are excellent drivers. I do find that the Tour Burner feels lighter to swing, despite the 60 gm shaft, and sets up a little nicer. I also find the Tour burner is about 10-15yards longer, and about equally forgiving. Both are great drivers, but I prefer the Tour Burner.

I had one for a few rounds. I hit it well, and I hit it far. My only issue was that I hit it waaaayyyy too high. Accurate trajectory control was difficult. There’s nothing below a 9.5 degree, so I had to trade it in.

While it didn’t work for me, it is still a really good driver for lots of people.

This club is absolutely awesome. I bought the driver and played with it the first time yesterday. I never even hit it before playing a round and by the 2nd or 3rd hole, I was crushing drives straight down the middle. I typically have a pretty bad slice. I never sliced one ball all day. I could usually drive 275 on a good day, but with this driver drove a green on a par 4 (320 yds) in the air and it stuck. Unbelievable club.

Well after reading many great reviews about the senior Taylor Made 13* Draw Burner i decided to buy one.
Took it to the driving range and was amazed at the distance i was hitting the range ball.
I normally play with an offset Ping G5 driver and have to say i`m getting about 50yds further with the taylor made.
The Pings in the cupboard and the Taylor Made is staying in the bag!.

I am a 12 handicap golfer who never could seem to get consistency off the tee, until I put the burner in my bag. It gave me great distance immediatley, but mostly allowed me to hit more fairways. Great Driver! A must have club.

This club is awesome. I recently bought this wood when it was on sale for $160. It is very forgiving and easy to get up in the air off of the fairway. I am now hitting it farther than my driver off the tee, which is making me want to get a burner driver. I would recommend this wood to players of all skill types!
