Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by andy, April 17, 2008
I first tried this club at a demo day at the local driving range. I own a Callaway X460 Tour with a sitf shaft that I hit very well average 280 yards. But after trying the Sumo I couldn’t believe it. I hit about 20 balls and every shot was perfect.I couldn’t believe the way it felt in my hands, so the next day I went out a bought one form the local distributer an haven’t looked back.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by Dilby, May 2, 2008
Just got the club a few weeks ago and am already seeing improvement on my drives. I am getting about 20-30 yards more on my drives than I used to and am getting more forgiveness on those bad swings. it really has improved my game.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by chahoi, May 19, 2008
First time I hit the driver was on the course and it did not fair well. I was hitting it left and right. Next I took it to the range and hit a bucket of balls with it. Seemed to be going farther than my Taylormade 580. I then took it out to my home course again and was then bombing it on average 30 yards longer than my old driver. One hole was 360 and I was 40 yards off the green. another par 5 was 498 and I was 170 from the green. In a nutshell I think this driver is a performer and with a little more work I think it will be consistantly long and straight. It doesn’t sound the greatest or feel the best but the results are amazing.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by Colt, June 20, 2008
I already had a brand new Taylormade r5 tp( an r5 withwieghts you can move and are not preset) and the driver is a great driver. I won a sq sumo with a diamana stiff shaft and I love it. Friends told me it goes to high for good players but they were wrong when tee’d at normal heighth I am able to hit a medium high soft draw that carries about 285 and lands softly…finding many good spot around golf courses. When I want to cheat the wind I tee it extremely low, like Tiger or Stuart Appleby, and with an easy swing the ball comes off like a line driver line drive about 275. When I have a strait away hole and I want to hit a bomb, I keep it tee’d low and swing full. The result is a mid-low penetrating ball flight that carriesabout 280 and rolls about 30-35 yards. Distance and trajectory control with this driver are awsome…but the fantastic part it how straight it goes. I stand over knowing I will hit a draw that is between 1 and 5 yards….big confidence booster…My first full round with it I shot a 67.

I would highly recommend this driver for average or above skill levels. It is reasonably forgiving, and the 9.5 degree loft is very effective for playing on windy days.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by protektor, July 6, 2008
There is absolutely no driver or golf club that will 100% change the way you play the game or dramatically change your scores. But the Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Driver is definately top of the line for a cheaper price. I’d reccomend it to anyone because it is not going to make the game harder for you. Best driver I’ve ever owned, but remember its the golfer that makes the driver. The high MOI HELPS you to drive straighter but don’t expect that if you buy tihs or any driver that you will play like the pros. Great driver! Happy golfing!

The Sumo Sasquatch is an excellent addition to the bag,and has saved me 6/7 strokes a round,by the increase in distance, and it has improved both my distance and accuarcy.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by raw68, July 17, 2008
This club is a monster on the fairways. I loved the accuracy and could draw my drives anytime I wanted. Easily added 30 yards and more to my drives, and it was very hard to miss hit. Sounds like a cannon going off. Heaps of Fun!!
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by Ben, July 22, 2008
Purchased the 10.5 Degree with Aldila Proto By You shaft in Stiff Flex. I tested this club in the Golf Galaxy simulator on three different occasions (including one with a Nike Rep.) All three times I had excellent results. On the course the results were much different. Despite a relatively high swing speed the shaft was unresponsive. It seemed extremely Stiff. (I have traditionally played TaylorMade Drivers, always with a Stiff Flex).Traded in the Stiff flex for the same Aldila Proto By You shaft, but in a Regular flex. The difference was amazing. The first time out I hat a few good hits, a few miss hits, but four of the longest drives I have ever hit. The Aldila Regular Flex seemed at least as Stiff as the TaylorMade shafts I had become accustomed to.I am now looking forward to the rest of the Golf season. Just some advise. Golf simulators are fine, but demo the club first, preferably outdoors. Great club, Great shaft !!!!
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by sam_i_am, August 2, 2008
I’ve had a Ping G2 for a couple of years now, and tried the Nike Sasquatch Sumo (non square) just for the heck of it. The Nike blew away my G2 as far as accuracy. Put an easy swing on it, and dead straight, very penetrating flight. Let loose on it, and it will bring out the flaws in your swing but nowhere as bad as the G2. Way more forgiving. Just kept hitting it STRAIGHT! Distance wise, it’s about the same as my G2, but due to the penetrating trajectory, roll may be further. Couldn’t tall on the range. Had the stock Diamana shaft in it, and was great….suprisingly! I played the Lucky 13 degree, and it really doesn’t seem to fly like a 13. Was lower than my 11.5 G2.
Enough said - the G2 is on the auction block!

The Nike Sasquatch Sumo 2 is a great driver. I love the control, feel and most of all the sound of this club when you hit it sweetly. Im getting an extra 20 yards to me drives.
Nike SasQuatch Sumo 460 Review by GUS-YO, August 25, 2008
I never really cared for Nike Drivers. Until now. This club is great with the Aldila VS Proto By You 65S shaft (no upcharge!). I’ve found it to be enormously forgiving (meaning I can go after it more) while at the same time having enough feel and touch to work the ball. Easy trajectory control, and not $500. Loud, sure! But not nearly as loud as the Sumo2 or the Cobra LD. This club is great with the Aldila VS Proto By You 65S shaft (no upcharge!).
